Hi
I wonder if someone can clarify this I have just spoken to my old insurance company, but it doesn't tally with what I have been told in the past. If you have full no claims discount and then do not have insurance for how long can you go without insurance before the NCD lapses. My old company have just told me 3 years, but I thought it was 2?

I always thought it was 2 aswell. Most of the insurers I have spoken to this week have mentioned 2 years when talking about NCB.
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

I was always under the impression it was two but Swiftcover send you an email that says:

Important, your proof of NCD must be:
• No more than 12 months old
• Issued by a UK insurer
• Earned on a private car and display your name as the policyholder
