Plug your kindle into your PC using the cable that comes with it.
It should open up an explorer window like a USB stick would.
Then all you need to do is drag and drop your books from your PC into your kindle.

You don't have to add them. Just install the Android Kindle app, set up your account details and your Amazon account will synchronise the Kindle app with all your past purchases and keep the tablet and the PC synchronised with any new purchases.

The Sync only works with book acquired via the Amazon system.
If she got the book from somewhere else it might not sync between devices.

Anything from Amazon will sync on any device with a Kindle app. I think anything third party that you've loaded via the Amazon email system should sync too (but I haven't tried that). Anything loaded by USB will need to be manually transferred.
