Sainsbury's meal deal glitch?

This is my second recipt, with my refund on it, my first was for £41

I don't know if it made a differance how she refunded me? The reciept doesn't make a great deal of sense to me.


Ignore me, I've worked it out now, it's cause the 3 for £12.00 wine discount kicked in on the ss yet she gave me a refund as though I'd paid full price.

Just got the deal at 10:40am at the Maypole Sainsbury's where it was suppose to come to £60 but paid only £26.86. I thought of buying then swapping the wines for J2Os at the service counter (because I dont drink wines) but gave them away instead.

So is this definatley not working now as i was gonna go out in a mo to get some :-( husband tried yesterday at smaller sainsburys and didnt work!! DRAT............. need meals.............

It seems like they have fixed the glitch.. Now expired at HUKD!

Thank you OP.
I ended up buying 3 meal deals for £27.36 in a long winded sort of way.

Bought 4x sea bass, 2x chicken en croute, 3xg veg pots, 1x potato dauphinoise, 1x garlic flat bread, 1x salad pack, 1x Gu , 1x profiterole, 3x sticky toffee pudding, 1x cheese selection, 2x rose, 2x white and 2x red.
I had written myself a list of the wines which would work from reading the thread this morning. I had originally put Torretta red and white (3 of each) in my trolly. These triggered the 3 for £12 twice but not the meal deal so went to CS and the lady helped me change the wine for for 2 each of the following wines: Mondelli pinot blush, taste the difference pinot red and taste the difference pinot white. She had to refund in 2s as the till wouldn't accept more than 2 returned wines (not sure why) and then at the end she said she'd forgotten to take off the 3 for £12 discount and save 5% on 6 bottles but it was too late....."oh well, never mind, an even better saving for you.".

NOT WORKING for me and really needed some wine for birthday presents.

I went to the ss and when the bill was rising I kept telling myself its ok when you press "pay cash" the amount will drop. It did go down but didnt take much off. I didnt want 3 meal deals for £30 something pounds!The ss helper was great as I was explaining the meal deal wasnt kicking in. We tried a different wine as at first I had 2 white and 1 red so we tried 3 white. I made a list from here to take this morning. I had a suspected the glitch may had been fixed. I said it worked yesterday (didnt even know about it untill late last night!) So would come back when they had re stocked all the wines, think I confused him a bit, he said yeah best to come back when there is a better selection or its not a good deal! Poor thing, and I left him with 3 meal deals to put back. He was great about it tho!

On my third try Ijust told cashier I didn't want them she was fine about it as I'd spoken about the glitch with her earlier and she was gunna try it herself. Happy with my 12 lots. Think it will b gammon everyday for tea LOL.
