Last year I installed new 6ft fencing around the back garden and I painted it in Ronseal Harvest Gold and painted a small decking area in the same colour.
Gold
Anyway, I am wanting to paint the concrete posts and bases this year, but can't decide if to do the mcrisp white or do them a creamy type colour.
Any thoughts...?

Just leave them unpainted - they don't require painting."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

I know they dont require painting, but I'd like them painting.0

You do realise you would be setting yourself up for a regular and on going maintenance job which you don't need. Fence posts are used by birds and cats, and are rubbed by plants and branches, all of which will mark and damage the paintwork. I can see you having to re-paint at least every couple of years to keep them looking nice. I wouldn't.

I paint my concrete posts the same colour as the fencing. It makes them blend in better with the fence colour and is also easier when re-coating the timber since you just splosh on without having to take care not to accidentally stain the concrete of the posts.
Seems kinda sensible to me.0 -
Painting them every 2 or so years doesn't bother me much to be honest as I like to freshen the fences up every few years anyway.
I don't get cats on the tops of my fences...0 -
