Petplan tried to put an exclusion on for arthritis on that leg, I argued my case, sent a copy of clinical history and they removed the exclusion. Especially as it is an unfair exclusion-understandable for them to exclude arthritis, but not any injury. Contact them
Thanks Hotcookie - it's due for renewal soon and if it still appears as a "total exclusion" for that leg I will be taking it up with them - however, like your cat, I think it will remain in terms of arthritis for the future. The harvest mites issue could mean your insurer excludes all skin conditions.
...... Wouldn't mind betting an insurer would exclude on the grounds of the harvest mite.
I was going to say this too!
However, see OP has decided to stick with his current insurers - IMVHO the safest bet and it's not a huge amount more so why take the risk.Or more to the point, hopefully we'll never need it
Fingers crossed that's the case.:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

They put an exclusion for arthritis on for my cat-thats what I had removed. I argued they would pay to fix his broken pelvis if he had a RTA, but not for the arthritis that would develop after. So he now has no exclusion for that at all. I would be after them removing the exclusion completely in your case too-what was the original problem and how long ago was it?0
