Can I be put down for £120 again this month?

Already spent £60.90 in a$da yesterday (my month starts 28th), but got lots of stuff - had to use the BIG trolley and I NEVER do that! Got the 3 for a tenner meat deal - chicken and sausages in the freezer and dealing with the pack of mince tomorrow.

Meal planned for the whole month before my shop - includes your bog standard chilli/bolognese and fajitas and quesadillas. Also going to try tex mex skillet, sausage & cheese bake and cumberland pie (so sorry - can't remember who's recipes these are!).

Thank you Pink and Rosieben for the thread (and my best wishes to MrsMc) - and to everyone for the tips and support here. Good luck to all! :hello:

I know there is a different section for deals, but if anyone sees anything for : Toilet Roll, Dishwasher Tablets, Shampoo/Conditioner, or Washing Powder, could you mention that you've seen it, so I know to look? Think those are the things I could save most on in direct outlay if I can get deals.

Just catching up with this thread so sorry if this has already been posted. Head on over to the 19p Superdrug Thread. I'm fully stocked for years to come!!

Have been AWOL for a few weeks. Lots going on. My wee Granny passed away and GC went out the window. She was 97, and taught me loads about cooking & money saving so I know she'd want me back on here!!

So please count me in for £80 for July please.

Hugs to all that need them, welcome to all the newbies it's a wonderful forum.

Mmmm, I sometimes think I am on another planet. 400.00 per month for groceries?? In my case its probably (basics etc) 100 per month. What do you lot eat???

I think we all vary in circumstances and what we include in our grocery budget that its impossible to compare, there are 4 of us, 2 adults, 2, children, who have very healthy appetites :) but then there are also 2 cats, 4 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits and a couple of fish tanks included in the 'food' budget. My challenge is with myself as I know there are ways we could cut back, but there are certain things I'm not going to cut back on while we can afford them iykwim.

Anyway a nsd today :j lets hope its the first of many :D

    Hi all.

Longtime lurker [we're talking years!], first time poster. Inspired by you good people, I've whittled down our grocery spends by more than half over recent years, but now it's time to go black-belt ninja!

For starters this month, please put me down for £250 [just for me and Him Indoors - £200 for 'proper' groceries including cleaning and toiletries, £50 'slush fund' for bargains and Superdrug-style stock-ups].

Best wishes to all, especially Mrs M :)
Haven't done the GC since February, but a glance at the Tower of Receipts tells me I really need to get back into it... and plenty of other Challenges besides. :o

I will try and stick to my £40 a week budget for July so£160 for me please.

I've also cancelled the milk deliveries for the summer so I will have to buy milk from this too. The milkman keeps coming late and bringing the wrong stuff. By the time I've rung and complained the cost of the phone call is the same as the refund they give me, so I'd rather just buy the milk from Asda for now. It's handy having a milkman in the winter when the weather is bad, but as we have left for school some days lately before the milk arrives I think we'll take a summer break.

Morning all, anyone any ideas to reign the other half in? made a sausage casserole last night and he said he wasn't hungry (often isn't when it's warm) that was fine however later on decided he was hungry so made himself a cheese sandwich but he cuts slabs of cheese which means not enough left for sandwiches through the week and had 3 packets of crisps aswell as pinching a sausage out of the casserole that he didn't want that he knew I said I would eat today. I could scream sometimes.

On a good note though he pulled up some of my new potatoes I have been growin and they look great no sign anything has been easting them and got 6 biggish ones from one plant, have another 15 plants out there so won't need to buy then for a while.
