Hi
I've got a bunch of WP sites and I have no idea how they look on a mobile phone. I've just added some code that shows up on mobile phones to one of my sites so was keen to see [a] if that turned up in the right spot how it looks.
I'm lookng for an easy website where I can just type in my url and see how it looks on a mobile phone. Don't want to pay/register/join ... just want to have a quick 2 second look on 3-4 of them, then forget it for 2-3 years.
Cheers

I haven't tried this, but it is free so a good place to start.

And the W3 checker is at http://validator.w3.org/mobile/
And this last one apparently lets you see how it looks http://mtld.mobi/emulator.php0 -
Cheers. I guess they're used to seeing sites "not quite right" and so long as it's navigable it's what they're used to
It's difficult when you've never seen Internet on a mobile phone to know/understand what they see and what people these days are used to.0 -
Depends on the phone I suppose.
I have an Android with several browsers so I can view both the main sites and mobile sites. The only problem I find is with sites that are text heavy, as the fonts can seem quite small when viewed on a 4" screen. Zooming to fit the page doesn't often help greatly.
I would suggest that if you are going to have a mobile view, you consider having separate mobile content as well. A synopsis of the articles perhaps, along the lines of the BBC app?0 -

for andriod and windows phone you can download the emulators which should give you access to their browers and you should be able to look at your site with them.
I expect you can do the same with ios but I havent checked.0
