To update, I have refunded the buyer his money. And now he wants the chat transcript containing suggestions of ebay to contact him to make an arrangement for a refund. And also he shall be filing for breach of contract for "serious consequential loss he has suffered as a result". Should I be worried about this? Is a court case going to materialize and has he "suffered serious consequential loss"? I assume it would be a different matter if the amount was significant, after all it was only £30.
I wouldn't think that he would go to court - he would have to prove that loss, and for £30 I'm not sure how it would work out, whether or not it would be seen as frivolous - but there is a facility through eBay to report you as a non-performing seller, which I'd personally do in this situation. I probably would have paid before now, but if a seller was badgering me, then suddenly refused to sell to me, I'd hit you with all I could through eBay.

If you plan to sell again, try and rework your attitude towards payment and perhaps gear things a bit better regarding postage if the reason you wanted immediate payment was that you could only post one day a week. Flexibility is the key and you need to learn a bit from this as you can't keep moving on every time you have an issue with someone.

Really? I think he just wants his item. He did pay, after all.

oh come on, this is nothing, a whiner on ebay, after his 1st sentence 'ill pay when i can be bothered.' is a breach of rules, take him to court!
people seem to have a phobia about threats of court action, ANYONE can threaten anything at anytime.
