Help. Dilema.

I'm self employed, but work for a company who sends me out on jobs.
One of the jobs I do asked if they could employ me seperate as they weren't happy with the company who sends me out.
I do half the job and the company does the other half.
Now if the company loose the contract it will be blamed on me, but if I don't take it I will loose out.
So how do I get round this one, loose the income completely or feel like i'm stitching someone up.

If they are not happy with the company, why are they wanting them to do half the job. Confused.
The company isnt doing anything anyway apart from sending you out. Confused.

It seems as if they are not happy with you, if you do all the job now (because the company sends you out to do all the job)
but now they want the company to do half the job. Confused.

    Want to clarify

I wouldn't risk the relationship with the agent at the moment - one job direct could cost you several future jobs via them, and this recession is going to weed out those with irregular work against those who can work through.

To clarify it's a cleaning contract. I do the shop floor the boss does the living quarters.
The person who owns the shop has discovered that the company I work for is illegal and not registered.
She therefore wants to put me on the companies books and employ me direct.
she's really happy with my work, but not the boss's.

In waht way is the company illegal.

So is her reason for wanting this that the comapny is illegal or that she is not happy with the bosses cleaning.

She could just ask the company to send yu out to do it all,

Both reasons, the companies not registered or following cosh guidelines which she's really annoyed about.

Tough one. But as long as the company are paying you legally, the allegations are none of your business, and even if it means the client sacks the company, you still have other contracts to go to.

It's possible there's a clause in the contract between the OP and the cleaning company about restrictions on taking on work direct. I'd check that out ...
