    Hi,

From my experience area is not important. Yes of course you may experience a low drop sometimes but it is not dependent on where.

We are in Malta doing Betterware for a while and are planning to move to UK soon. Our plan is to duplicate what we have done in the UK alongside a part-time job. It is very hard work with the catalogues however, having a trolley does help. In the UK we will have a car so this will also help from time to time but, having a car puts extra expenses on your income (just like working in a job) and you have to be prepared for that.

We put out catalogues to under estimate what we will get in return. This basically means putting out something like 600 catalogues 3 times a week to account for any losses in catalogues and to get the £1,000-£1,500 in orders we want to achieve.

It's hard at first putting your plan together but once you have it together and a set routine it becomes a little easier.

Hope the above helps anyone who is thinking of joining Betterware or any other catalogues based business like Betterware. Just be warned, people are very keen to voice their negative opinions about something not so much so with positive opinions and experiences. This is the reason why you see so many negative posts and very few positive experiences. Because the people who are doing well are too busy concentrating on just that instead of moaning about how and why it went wrong.

    Thanks,

MALTA  didn't think there would be that much business for Betterware in Malta :D I know they operate in most Ex-pat places around the globe

If your come back to the UK & are considering coming to the Oxfordshire area please let me know as I know someone pretty well that would bend over backweards to have you part of their team & help you out no end

I think what a lot of people do is get very frustrated with all the lies that people put on these open forums. It seems forums like these are inundated with KLZ people which are simply full of BS  & complete liars in the main

    Good luck!

    Hi,

Yes, I was surprised as well when I found out all that time ago.

I will admit, I used to do Kleeneze myself and to be honest that's exactly what atmosphere was around in the end. Maybe I should say, that's the atmosphere I discovered. Lying!

I was, I guess, brainwashed a little. Sounds funny and almost impossible but it happens to us all in one way or another. At the time we believe and hope, but you are wise after the event.

They would tell you that it's a business and to treat it like one. With a business there are expenses etc. one of them being catalogues. There were many expenses such as; buying the bags for your customers, buying catalogues, buying order forms, paying to place your order via the internet and buying new bags for the catalogues themselves. If you think about it, someone who starts out earning £50-£100 a week will end up with around half left and that is the honest truth! This seems to be the only way that Kleeneze can make money and keep expenses down to a minimum.

The system in place with Kleeneze is somewhat good but this system is now within most other catalogue companies.

With this type of retailing such as Betterware & Kleeneze it takes time to build up a customer base. At first you may get an average of 75p-£1 a catalogue in orders but then, as time goes by and you use the system in place this increases to around £2-£5 a catalogue. Your hourly wage will (as a result) increase because you now have to go to less houses for the same amount of money. Basically weeding out the customers who don't order. With your spare catalogues and spare time you can now expand and deliver to new/other houses to find new customers.

    Thanks,

I'v hopped on and off the betterware wagon a fews times, and it only pays what effort you put in. Its great summer work but hard winter work. and the key thing i always found is to redo your recalls a few times as some people don't want to leave the catalog out for you and want to talk to you.

I did try something new last year. My mum sells at craft fares and has one of those Paypal card readers (they cost about £100). I dropped a note in that i could take card payment for orders over £25. I know you have a fee to pay but its not as much as commission and i found some people bought more items.
