removal companies question

I used removers from the area I was moving from - because they came in and boxed it up the day before we moved - and I paid a deposit and the balance on the day after they had moved us in.0

Don't pay up front! Find a proper removel company instead.Martin0

I don't know where all these companies are that you've all been using who will let you part-pay in advance, or not at all - they certainly don't seem to be in my area! As I said before, all three companies we got quotes from (2 local, 1 big national chain) expected payment in advance. A bit more internet research last night suggested that it is pretty much normal practice!
It's kind of too late for us to find another company nowWe've decided to pay 50% in advance and the other 50% on the day - which makes it more of a hassle, but hey. Unfortunately we don't have a credit card, only a debit, otherwise that would have been a good suggestion!
