Guttering repair on 3 story townhouse

Options
Hi,

I've been quoted £150 to repair a gap between two sections of guttering (causing a leak) on a 3 story town house. Bloke said despite being a small job, quote was higher because it's 3 stories up - does this seem fair? In Bexley (SE London).

Thanks

Nope. Get your window cleaner to do it and he'll ask for £40.

You'll be lucky to find a window cleaner that does 3rd storey's!!

It would only seems high if you are expecting him to put up a ladder that high on his own, no one footing it, and climb up with parts and fix without holding on?

I guess the costs covers hire of a mobile access platform or some sort of tower, and would seem reasonable to me.

Even if it doesn't he'll need the fee for the life insurance policy.
