Scottish Power trying to over charge me - totally confused me

Chill out. All that's happened is the guy from Scottish Power has made a mistake and added two £25 payments to the email rather than one. It's a human error. The payment plan they set up has that balance built in so it wouldn't be expecting both, just the one. Him making a mistake when writing the email doesn't effect that.
The reason that there is a month between the payments is that there will be set gaps that they have to leave to set up a payment plan on their system. Making the payment earlier than written is not going to be a problem. If he'd tried to make you pay it over less time than you offered I could see the issue, but he's given you more than you asked for.
Basically some poor guy at Scottish Power who has already probalby dealt with hundreds of accounts so far this week has made a mistake when writing the email and added a second payment, so rather than asking about it you've aparently taken it as a massive insult and had a huge go at him...
And then you've chosen to boast about it on here. Unless there's a question hidden in the post that I didn't see...I am an employee of British Gas, however the views expressed on this post are mine and do not necessarily reflect the views of Centrica, its subsidiaries or affiliated companies.0 -
What if they cancel my arrangement AGAIN though saying i have not kept to it? They did this a few days ago too for no reason, i had paid them on time.
And how does he expect me to pay them if they won't send me a payment slip like i requested???
I say one thing and they do another, repeatedly, then they blame me. lol.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -
If they cancel it for you making the 2nd payment early (unlikely, but you never know) it doesn't matter in the slightest as you've already paid it all off by then. No issue.
And he hasn't said that he won't send a payment slip. Granted, he also hasn't said that he will, but I would have thought that checking on this would have been more use than just assuming that they wont but not doing anything about it...I am an employee of British Gas, however the views expressed on this post are mine and do not necessarily reflect the views of Centrica, its subsidiaries or affiliated companies.0
