Tried to make out going calls today. There was no ring tone, however, I did hear the 0 pence per minute voice. The call never conected tho'.
So, I used my mobile to telephone the landline & it just kept going to answer machine.
Anyone having the same issues or if not what could the problem be & how could I resolve it?
*have unplugged Orchid box & routered calls direct BT & that worked fine.

It's not your Orchid, it's a problem with outgoing calls via 1899, 18185 and 18866 which has been occurring over the past few days - a long pause before the tariff announcement (or sometimes not) followed by a long pause* before the target number rings (or sometimes none).

In my experience, this seems to happen a day or two before they send a bill. So I guess their computer gets overloaded or somesuch.0

The reply I received to my fault report was:Dear customer,
We may be experiencing a technical difficulty with our system at present. Please excuse any inconvenience this may be causing you. Our IT department has been advised of the issue and are looking into it.

Seems fine now. However, at least I know if it happens in the future.0
