Argos pet insurance?

Anyone used them?

After doing some comparisons on Go Compare this seems to be good cover but what else do I need to look for?

'Lifetime' Cover - £7000 per condition per year
£1000 boarding fees
£1500 death by accident
£1500 death by illness
£1500 lost or stolen
Excess £75
For under £93 per year

Thanks, C xx

I have the platinum policy for both my cats although I have not needed to claim from them yet. When I got it, I went through Quidco and got £40 cashback too.

Thanks - they're offering £20 at the mo but wouldn't have thought if you hadn't have said, thank you!

Just got a quote direct and it's cheaper than Go Compare - the platinum is coming out at £76 with £50 excess :)

I'm also with them. They ticked all the boxes when I looked and seemed to have good writeups on other site. Like the above poster, I haven't had to claim yet, so can't comment on that. The important thing is it's lifetime and with a good yearly pot of £.
Bit disappointed though that last year we were paying £12 a month for our 2 cats; this year it has gone up to £18!! Might have to do a "new customer" quote...

I am with Argos for zara (the dog) and 6 cats, all on Platinum.

Claimed first time for Zara's exrays.. im March - still no money, finding one excuse after another and wanting more and more paperwork from my vets.

Will see how this goes... right now not very happy. Xrays and meds were over £600

Is Lifetime the same as Platinum?

  • Yup, they do gold, silver & platinum but you only get the lifetime cover with the platinum one.

It's underwritten by BDML which is the same as my insurance is through & I've not had any problems.

I've used them and originally they were very good but then their policy costs just starting going through the roof even when not even claiming anything during the 12 months cover. I swapped to Axa which worked out much cheaper
