mp3 has gone weird

Hi,
Can someone explain why two mp3's now have the end chopped off? I downloaded them from youtube about a year ago and the played normally until recently.
Now i'm going to have to download a youtube converter , google the right image and so on as the songs are hard to find.
Hope someon knows why as I don't want this to happen again:(

Do you get the same result when playing them back on different applications?0

Have you tried playing them with something like VLC media player? It's probably due to an incorrect setting of the bitrate which the files are tagged with. VLC seems to be better than most other media players at coping with this.0

VLC media player - free to download, and better than WMP most of the time.0
