wrong registration on parking ticket

My hubby got a ticket yesterday and it has the wrong reg. It should be KS07 but on the ticket it says LS07. The tax disc no is also on the ticket and that is correct. Where do we stand? I'm thinking we dont have to pay but they can trace us through the tax disc no cant they? Please help. TIA.

It does not matter whether its a private or council ticket, neither are valid if wrong VRM. The only difference is that its likely the ppc will try harder than the council to get your money, so hold on and continue ignoring. In both cases DO NOT contact them in any way.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

What about the person who actually owns the car with that reg no? Will they have to pay it?0

Don't worry about it. I had the same thing happen to me. I heard nothing back. Keep the ticket just in case, I've kept mine from 2 years ago!!0

I had the same happen to me just before Xmas. I lost my ticket until last night so was panicking a little and worried about the charge... they only went and wrote the Number plate down wrong... I was dancing round the office

It was a Council ticket then?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
