We successfully retuned a Toshiba Television on 22 June, however we now need to retune our Toshiba recorder D-R160SB but are having difficulties.
We phoned John Lewis where we had bought the recorder about 5 years ago. They suggested that we needed an HDMI cable to retune the recorder. We do not however seem to have anywhere to plug in an HDMI cable on the back of our recorder.
Can anyone help or do we need to get rid of the recorder and buy a new one.
Thanks in anticipation!!

The built-in tuner is analogue only. Are you still in an analogue / digital area or digital only?0 -
Thanks for your reply. We are in a digital area only. Does this mean we need to ditch the recorder?0

No buy a cheap Freeview box and plug that into the recorders input Scart socket. A well known supermarket was selling Freeview boxes for a little as £5 a few weeks ago.0
