Just wondered if anyone knows typical prices for eating out in Turkey, eg. cup of coffee, beer, 3-course meal, etc? Thanks in advance.

It depends a lot on which area of Turkey you are going totravelover0

Depends what you want to pay
We were there in May
Beer £1 - £2, Wouldn't pay more than a £1, local spirits and mixers between £2 - £3. Imported spirits £3- £4
Usually large measures
Meals between £5 - £20, don't make the mistake thinking if it's cheap it must be no good. If you like to try different food eat where the locals go
These prices were in Hisaronou
We were getting TL2.60 to the £1
Hope you enjoy0 -
Thanks Steve, we are going there very soon. Much appreciated :beer:Sometimes, I can't see the wood for the trees - or the couscous for the quinoa... 3 no spends so far for August 2011!0

You won't get a beer in Marmaris for £1. It was £2 a bottle everywhere. As the other poster said it really does vary. The spririts where the top price that was posted by SteveJW.
Take some vodka with you to have a drink before you go out as vodka in the shops is expensive over there.
Tripadvisor forums have up to date prices as people return.0 -

Hisaronou between Olu Deniz and Fetiye, apparently more than one Hisaronou
Street where the Robin Hood is (Road to Kaya)
Just looked at a photo we took outside the Black Pearl in May 2011, Effes was 3TL a bottle, we were getting 2.60TL to the pound, my maths shows that works out at £1.15 a bottle
Plenty more bars at the same price
Agree though, we always take some Vodka
In previous years you could buy several bottles per passport at Dalaman when you landed, various sources told me this had stopped, maybe we were lucky we purchased 3 bottles per passport. No not all for me, part exchange for the room rent0 -
But you did say you wouldn't pay more than a pound!travelover0
