Rescue Centre Problems

There is a rescue centre near me they take in all kinds of animals. I used to help there but after witnessing some things I don't have anything to do with them anymore.
There are so many things wrong with the place I don't know where to start, but the two main things are the treatment of the animals and the constantly begging for money from the public and company donations (either money or goods) without actually lifting a finger to raise some money themselves and then not using the money for what they say they need it for and using the items donated on their own animals.
They have a page on facebook and new people come along and donate to them, all the locals know them well and won't have anything to do with them.
They are due to be evicted in about 6 weeks and haven't found anywhere to go as yet, I think the whole village is hoping they go a long way away, but that doesn't help the animals. I would guess they are hoping to start up somewhere new where no-one knows them and carry on.
I did speak to another rescue but they didn't know who could help as they seem to be just within the law with their animal care.
To be honest I would love for them to close down, they certainly aren't acting as a rescue should, and the animals who go in there don't get a good life

Name them then - to avoid any potential issues just point out that this is only YOUR opinion and not definitely fact.0

Perhaps you can call the RSPCA and see what they say, you can maybe call the charity commission and tell them your concerns.0

At least tell us the county they are in, if we don't know who they are or where they are, how can we help?0

What do you mean by not lifting a finger to raise money? Collecting donations is most rescues bread and butter, you get far more per hour than doing carboots. Are they registered as a charity? Is so you can voice your concerns to the charity commission. If you believe they are obtaining money under false pretences then contact your local police force. If there are health hazards or nuisance (dog mess,, noise, smells) try Environmental Health at your local council. The RSCA is supposed to deal with animal welfare matters, the five freedoms is on their website so report using that - the more people that flag up concerns the more likely they are to pay a visit and perhaps a follow up in the new place. Lodge your concerns in writing where possible, citing legislation or policy or providing evidence, it makes it more difficult to be brushed off.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
