Hi everyone,
I have recently designed a few websites and I want to know if anyone has any tips on how to get them out there on the web.
How can I get it to rank in the search engines within the first couple of pages.
I have signed up with google adwords and I am just trying to get to grips with that as it all seems quite complicated but I also want to be able to make them very search engine friendly.
If anyone has any advice on this and any other methods of getting your website seen it would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

Also, this is an interesting visualisation of how directories and search engines feed each other...

keywords, page names and meta tags, though last time I mentioned tags there was a fierce debate about whether search engines used them.Happy chappy0

Hi
If you can, make your pages using .css (cascading style sheets), this keeps the coding simple behind the scenes - but this is very powerful and you can get pixel perfect designs using this method.
Type in OSWD into google (Open Source Web Design and all of the templates available there are done in CSS.0 -
hehe,
looks like you promoted the site pretty well here

Hi kylah16
Put your URL in your profile, then anyone interested can look. There is a space for URL to your homepage in the userCP.0 -
Start to use other forums where signitures are allowed with URLs in. Forums (popular ones) are spidered daily could be hourly by search engines as their content is ever changing. This way spiders will go through the forum and start to follow live links from this site and spider yours. Having your URL all over the place is good. Join business forums, try teneric, aardvark business forums and ukbusinessforums for a start and start to post there and become a known poster. People will view your site through entrigue aswell.0
