1. No purchase of any kind is required to enter the Film Competition (the “Competition”);
2. The Competition is open to UK residents only, excluding WWF-UK, Observer, Guardian and Odeon employees and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition;
3. Entrants must be 18 and over to enter the Competition;
4. To enter you must complete the entry form on wwf.org.uk/astonishmecompetition and submit your entry.
5. Entrants must complete the online registration form fully for their entry to be accepted.
6. Entry to the Competition will open on 26 June 2011 and close at midnight on 21 August. Any entries received after this date will not be eligible to win.
7. The first prize winner in the Competition will receive a family trip to Monterrey in California. The prize will consist of four tickets in total. These tickets are limited to use for two adults and two children over the age of 15. The tickets are subject to availability in accordance with clause 9 below and the entire first prize is subject to a maximum cost limit of £5000;
8. WWF-UK will pay accommodation for three days in Monterrey Bay, California. WWF-UK agrees to arrange a tour of the Monterey Bay research centre and will also organise a separate tour of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The rest of time is free time and any extra costs occurred during this period are the responsibility of the prize winner/s.
9. The winning first prize will include: Return economy flights from London, airport taxes & fuel surcharges, 3 nights hotel accommodation in Monterey and 7 day car hire and car insurance. The trip must be booked at least 4 months in advance and must be taken before the end of December 2012. Travel is not permitted over Christmas, New Year, Easter and Bank Holidays. The total cost of this holiday will not exceed £5000. The prize is for a family or a family type group of four*, which includes 2 adults and 2 children of the specified ages. For the car hire included, winners are required to have a valid credit card in their own name to act as a guarantee on collection of the vehicle and without this they will not be permitted to hire the car. Drivers must be aged over 25 in the USA and must have a valid driving licence. For trips to the USA, under the new regulations the minimum age for check-in at hotels is 21 years, so at least one accompanying parent must be aged 21 or over. The parent is responsible for their own visas, passports, meeting entry requirements and travel insurance.
10. The Competition will feature a limited amount runner up prize winners to be awarded at random; these are prizes are limited in number and subject to change at any point. Provisionally included are 50 WWF memberships, one Odeon cinema pass for a year, 50 pairs of Odeon cinema tickets for nominated features and an A3 canvas print supplied by Arkive.org.uk.
11. The first prize winner hereby agrees to his/her name being published on the WWF-UK website and in other media publications in association with the Competition; The winner also agrees to carry out interviews with publications requested by WWF-UK;
12. The first prize winner and the ten second prize winners will be selected at random from all eligible and correct entries received. The winners will be selected shortly after 21 August 2011 and notified via the email address and / telephone number specified on his/her entry form. All decisions are final in all matters relating to this Competition. If any winner fails to respond to the email / phone call within 21 days or does not comply with these terms and conditions, WWF-UK reserves the right to award the prize to the next eligible entrant.
13. WWF-UK will not enter into correspondence with any unsuccessful entrants;
14. Details of the winners will be published on wwf.org.uk/astonishme by September 1 2011;
15. The Competition is organised by WWF-UK;
16. There are no prize alternatives available and WWF-UK reserves the right to withdraw winning status at any time and select an alternative winner, should it be deemed that the existing winner is unsuitable to represent the WWF-UK brand in any way.
17. By providing your email address as part of this competition, you agree to receive emails from WWF-UK or WWF’s contractors or agents working on behalf of WWF. You can unsubscribe at any time. WWF-UK agrees to treat all details entered with the upmost confidentiality and will not pass personal details to any third party organisations.
18. WWF-UK reserves the right to withdraw this Competition, change the timings of the Competition, or change the criteria by which the winners are chosen in the case of any unforeseen circumstances. Decisions of WWF-UK are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
19. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
20. Entries are limited to one per person.
