A bit of common sense from NatWest

I've got a NatWest current account that I use as a secondary account, but it still has a couple of £hundred of transactions going through it each month
Anyway, I realised this morning that between 1830 last night and 0915 this morning, I'd slipped £1.35 overdrawn. A total oversight on my part, I'd paid something out before a deposit had cleared
So I rang NatWest up to check what was happening, and they confirmed that the £28 charge had been applied. When I asked if they could remove it, given I was £1.35 overdrawn for literally 15hrs and that charging £28 was a tad over the top......and the guy agreed, and said that he had cancelled it
Now I know it's my fault for going overdrawn, I'm normally very good with these things, and of course I'll pay the 15hrs of interest I accumulated, but it's good to see the banks - or at least this one employee of NatWest - acting with a bit of common sense
