Posts suitable for picket fence

Hi,

My daughter's boyfriend is going to put up a small picket fence around an area at the front of my house for me (just 3 6x3ft panels) and although I have let him know which panels I would like, I don't know about the posts. I don't want the really chunky posts that we have in the back garden which are for 6ft closed fencing, but couldn't see any other ones at Homebase.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for these posts please. A couple of people on the estate have picket fences and the posts are much slimmer but I don't know where you get them from.

Does anyone have any advice please?

normal fence posts are 3x3 or 4x4.
if you want slimmer ones just buy some 2x2 treated wood, and cut them down to length.
