I can imagine its very scary I still think the old system of rising through the ranks makes for a less traumatic (not sure thats the right word but you know what I mean) introduction to job but I guess I'm old fashioned..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

thanks guys, the only problem i can see is a lot of trusts want you to have the blue licience before you apply for a job with them ..."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0

Nearly all student paramedics find employment after graduating. Unlike some professions such as teaching ad nursing, very few are trained and allowed to qualify and the trusts make sure they don't fund more than they're going to need!
For example, NWAS is only funding places for about 40 student paramedics this year, based on estimates of their future recruitment needs.0 -

There's always that point of transition though, where suddenly you're the one with the ultimate responsibility!0 -

Not saying that at all, just that there aren't thousands of unemployed newly qualified paramedics out there, they qualify them at replacement rate or thereabouts. Some retire or leave the profession every year remember. Students won't always work for the trust they studied with, but they generally find work somewhere.0 -
