Do I have to accept relocation

What I personally think makes it reasonable to refuse a relocation there..
No, what you personally think does not make it reasonable to refuse relocation there. If you cannot travel to work because there is no public transport at the times that you work, then that would quite possibly be an acceptable reason for refusing, and the fact that the employer has asked for your reasons in writing may indicate that the employer isn't all that worried and will pay redundancy to anyone who doesn't want to relocate. But 20 miles travel to work is not an unreasonable distance and to be honest, there are a lot of other options that do not include you having to buy a car, and you seem determined to find not one of them acceptable. So you are obviously determined to pack in the job. As Emmzi has said - your choice. But do remember that there are a lot of people out there chasing jobs and you may very well end up having to work worse shifts and further away. We can't always have what we want, and sometimes compromise is worth going for.0 -

I really like fixing mobile phones, easy job if you enjoy it. Now I just have to wait as finished today and voluntary redundancy requested with my reasons.

Would you keep it if it paid £2K more say?
taking redundancy is a good idea, if you think you can get something else immediately at same (or better)rate of pay and same distance from home. Is there another employer like that who you would be targeting as part of your job search0 -

I don't think I will get a same or better pay job at same distance immediately but I know of a couple that I could get at some point of better pay nearby. I'm happy to get a job where I can get there walking in less than an hr. I did my actual job hundreds of time in 45-50 min walk or 20-25 min ride. The thing is that if I don't get the redundancy I will need it immediately and they didn't confirmed the openning of the new site and new opportunity 22 miles away from me until the 16th of June and I didn't find out until the 25th of June as I was on holidays. I was just assuming the redundancy as not able to travel over 100 miles one way to the other option, that would give me a bigger marging to find the right job.0
