Can't get onto website. please help

Everytime I try to open a website for an auction site my husband visits it comes up "Internet Explorer Cannot Display This Website". I have checked with a couple of people I know & they can access it immediately. I've never had any other until a few days ago. I have cleared my cookies & run CCleaner through but still after re-starting my computer I still get the same message. What could be causing this. I have Windows Vista Home Premium IE 6. thanks for any answers

try an alternative browser -- also worth updating to a newer version of ie tbh.

IE is onto IE9 now which would be a good start, Firefox is generally a lot quicker than IE as is Google Chrome.

Sure the connection is on and you can access other pages?

thanks for your advice. Yes, I can get onto every website except this one http://www.megauction.co.uk/ I will update browser & see if that works.

Interestingly I can't either; I'm on O2 but I do my DNS lookups through ClearCloud.

Downforme says there's no problem:

But when I try to lookup the IP address from various tools, they either can't resolve the domain name or they point me to an IP address in Europe that Malwarebytes IP blocker thinks is dodgy (94.10x.4x.12x).

you can't ping it or tracert to it or anything so it looks like there's a routing / DNS issue that isn't affecting all ISP's, or all ISP's yet....

thanks again. Its odd how some people can access it & others can't. I've never had problems in the past & its just annoying when you want to look at their site. Yes, it is Metheringham Auction rooms so santer that was the right site. I just hope whatever is causing this resolves quickly
