Can anyone tell me how to attach a double socket to a wall?

    It's not a proper builder's bum as there is no builder's cleavage to be seen.
    I can afford anything that I want.

    OP what you're looking for is the two screw holes, one either side of your back box about halfway up. The screws from the front plate will locate in there. Should be easier now there's less thickness.

    I ended up having nowhere to attach a double socket to in a plasterboard wall - used one of these and it was perfect. It clips onto the edges of the opening instead of having to screw the back box onto something.
