OP what you're looking for is the two screw holes, one either side of your back box about halfway up. The screws from the front plate will locate in there. Should be easier now there's less thickness.0

What about fitting a dry lining box (plasterboard box)?

I ended up having nowhere to attach a double socket to in a plasterboard wall - used one of these and it was perfect. It clips onto the edges of the opening instead of having to screw the back box onto something.0
