Cashback for ebay purchases ~ Question...

Im sure most of you are aware you can earn a small % of cash back on ebay purchases via cash back sites.
You can also earn cash back for referrals, if someone signs up via your link, you can earn £2.50 per person from the site im thinking of.

So my question is, Could you add a referral link to your Ebay listings?

Potential Buyers could use the site to save themselves a % if they wished to join, but also you would be earning £2.50 per person who chose to sign up via your link.

Sounds good in theory, but would it be allowed by Ebay??

Probably not as outside links are not allowed.

One outside link is allowed and it always surprises me so few get used. I often add one to a description of items but what the OP wants to do seems outside the rules.

    From help:

You can include one link in your listing to a page that gives additional information about your item. However, the page that you are linking to must include additional information about the specific item in your listing. You can't just link to a generic page on a manufacturer's website (such as the home page) The linked page also can't promote the sale of items outside of eBay

Thank you for the info, I have seen links in listings before, but like you have said not many people use them.

Terra, many great things start out as simple ideas, so simple sometimes that others are certain someone else would of already tried it / done it, so they dont bother even considering it as a possiblity.
