Credit Card To Clear Debt

Hi Guys,

I currently have an overdraft of £1,300 and i am currently overdrawn and getting charged £6.00 a day.

I was wondering if there are any balance transfers that I could apply for?

I need to clear £400 to get back into the overdraft.

My credit score isn't the best but by far isn't the worst.

Anyone got any ideas?

There are some cards that allow you to do this - cards that allow money transfers (aka super balance transfers) - principally MBNA and post office cards, and also there is a way to do the same with an M&S card. But people usually need a near perfect credit history to get these cards.

Do you have a credit card now? Is there a balance on it? If not then use this for your purchases and set the statement date so that the payment due date is just before payday.

Shift your bills back to the day before payday. That will drastically cut the number of days you're unauthorised overdrawn/using the overdraft.

I'd also suggest talking to your current account provider to see if this is the best account type and credit limit for you - you may find something else suits better
