Quite a bit of final clearance ladies' clothes in Peterborough Queensgate today. Trousers 1-5 pounds, most tops 3 pounds - all non-returnable. Wide range of sizes but flying off the shelves. I should think it's worth trying this pm or tomorrow early.

:j Loads of bargains in Birmingham today, I got Autograph tops and trousers for £1 each, other trousers and a dressing gown for £1 each as well and in Homewares all were being reduced to 25p.....got loads of candles, some were £9.50 and wooden vases and photo frames from £15 ....all down to 25p....the SA said she had loads to put out but I had to go as I was working the train from Birmingham at 0910 this morning....OH said work always gets in the way of bargains......but I still managed to get £210 worth of things for £8.50..!!!

Got 4 pairs of skinny jeans at £3 a pair in Croydon M+S earlier. Very little stuff left on the rails and it like a jumble sale....mayhem!!

I was passing through this afternoon and took a short cut via M&S.

The sale area was like an almost empty jumble sale. Then suddenly a rail appears and mania took hold. When I realised all items were £1.00 I grabbed everything I could and then sorted through what I wanted. This happened three times - they were from customer services so I expect that these were sale items recently returned and now out to clear.

Nice stuff too - Wool jumpers (ladies and gents) - two bikinis - track/leisure suit - chunkyknit cardy - smart jacket - smart and casual tops - jewellery.

Average sizes too - plenty in sizes 12, 14, 16 & 18 - sometimes its all 8 and 22.

One woman was on her fourth lot through the checkout so there may be more to be put out.

Might be worth an early morning trip if they've sorted more out overnight. Make sure you grab a trolley though - you'll need it -and believe me you can't grab enough - everyone else was. I was too polite the first time and missed some nice per una clothes.

Also, buy a paper and read it while you hover if it looks like they are still restocking

Lastly, be very nice to the poor man who is trying to take the stuff off the rail
