    Looks like they deliver nationwide. Food looks pretty good to me http://www.dietchef.co.uk/the-food/

    If you go on the site you choose your own meals so of-course they dont tell you what you're getting.

    Soup for lunch every day! Toldya it's dodgy.

    Granola or porridge for brekky EVERY DAY! Toldya! :D

    Crap portions as well I eat 3 times that BECAUSE I TAKE EXERCISE :cool:

    bit suspicious they don't tell you what you're getting, I bet it disappoints.

    If you want to do the same for less, buy some reduced sugar own brand Swiss muesli and skimmed milk (that's your brekkie and dinner).

    Add a load of different fruit and veg (that's your lunch and snacks).

    Hey presto, you're on a diet @ £15 a week. :D

    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j that made me smile, but very true :T

    Thanks OP! I am on my own diet at the mo (lost 4kg :P) but I bought this deal for my Mum... cheers!

    My wife bought one and I gifted one to her. She has tried Diet Chef before and loved it so she is very pleased.

    The food is actually very good. The portions are small but I guess thats the idea!

    Actually - I bought this through this offer and the meals are really, really tasty! I'm veggie, so this tyope of stuff is usually no good for me but this replacement was really good. Portion size small but fine when veggies added. Wished I'd bought another offer.

    Adding up some of the calories in these meals disturbs me a bit

    for example;

    Breakfast; Treacle & Pecan Granola

    40 g

    196 calories

    Lunch; Smoked Bacon & Bean Soup

    300 g

    162 calories

    Dinner;

    Chilli con Carne

    300 g

    333 calories

    2 snacks; Chocolate Chip GI Biscuits

    20 g

    90 calories

    &

    Ginger Snack Bar

    27 g

    94 calories

    total:

    ===

    875 calories

    add some for milk with the granola. say 100 cals, thats still under 1,000 calories per day.

    Actually just read the how it works page and it says they package it into 1200 cal per day hampers for women and 1500 cal hampers for men. still seems quite low.

    You'd be far better off just doing some exercise each day and eating healthily. You will also be less hungry and therefore less susceptible to cravings if you split your meals into 5 smaller ones throughout the day, this also increases your metabolic rate.

    The problem with schemes like this is you have two options; you pays your money and you lose weight eating small portions for £30 per week for one person (a lot in my opinion!) and continue to do so, or you can do that, reach your target weight and stop paying the £30 per month. At which point you will put the weight back on as you resume normal eating. Alternatively you will then start eating healthily, but if youre going to do it then why pay £30 per week for mini portions only to start eating properly later?

    A light jog each day, balanced diet with plenty of protein and carbs and no fad points based or severely calorie restricted diets will be a lot easier to maintain because you will feel better about yourself for doing it.

    I should really qualify this by stating that I have always over eaten, and tried many, many diets in the past prior to sitting down and learning about nutrition properly. I'm now at the point where I run 25k per week and I've never felt better.

    The Couch25k apps on Android and Iphone are a great introduction into light running if anyone is interested.

    Porridge in itself isn't that bad an option for breakfast. Out of the past 60 days I've probably had it 30-45 times at LEAST; its a great balance of protein and carbs and many people into fitness swear by it. I didnt think I'd enjoy it to be honest, but I'm quite into it now and its pretty versatile with what you can add to it e.g a tiny bit of honey, reduced sugar jam, sugar free apple sauce, cinnamon etc.
