Halifax Switching £50 Incentive Offer

Options
Guys,

Just making you aware i know branches of Halifax are now offering £50.00 to switch your bank account to the Halifax.

The criteria is 2 direct debits and 1 credit to receive the £50.00.

It goes directly into the new account immediately and there's no waiting or anything like that!

Might as well get £50.00 well you can! Also it's not limited to one per person!

This also applies to existing current account customers!

So far i am only aware that it's available via the branch network.

If you need any further information just drop me a line.

Thanks.

Adam

Unless they've changed the 'rules' very recently, a couple of SOs will suffice if you have no DDs on the other account.

Certainly did when I bagged this offer a couple of months ago.

For my offer the "credit" needed to be salary, pension, or benefits...ie a BACS Direct Credit, not a BACS transfer initiated by yourself from another account.

They've been doing this for a while as far as I am aware? I go the impression it was dependant on individual branch budgets. I did this back in Jan and infact managed to blag another £25 (£75 total) by telling them I was going to open a clarity card and put £5k in a Halifax ISA on top of opening my Reward Account so give that a go!

I opened my Halifax reward account one year ago as a joint bill account. Used switching service but had only 1 DD but they still gave me the 50£ cash back. The offer was only available in branch.

Hi guys, I also got £50 for switching. Does anyone know if they transfer your salary into the halifax reward current account. My salary currently goes to my Natwest current account. I haven't received any letter regarding this. If no one knows, then I will have to wait till payday to find out.

And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth

When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well

Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like
Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

That wasn't my experience. I was told that they had to switch my salary (via a letter I signed for them to send to my employer).

In the end they didn't write, or wrote very late, and I had to switch it myself to make sure they didn't carry out their threat to withdraw the £50 if I didn't meet all the conditions.

They never ask me to transfer my salary, I just had to put in a 1000£ each month.
