overdraft charges?

hi, i have an £850 overdraft on my account, when i got this overdrat it was free to use, then about 3 years ago they started to charge me £5 a month! And now its just gone upto £10 a month!
is this fair as it is like letting someone have an intrest free loan, then after they use it decide to start charging for it. it's hard to get out of an overdraft and its like the bank is cashing in on it!

Yes it is fair.
Whilst they did not charge you for a 3 year period, you did not have to use it. Overdrafts are an emergency facility and charged as such.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Yes it is fair - and no doubt they have written to advise you, or summarised the charges being introduced in statement inserts, and you have not read them!
Charges, just like prices, change all the time. Before you ask, yes, I work for a bank, but no, I didn't get a bonus!0
