"The Brides Charity Ball" Sunderland, Tyne & Wear

[FONT=&quot]I am holding an event named “The Brides Charity Ball” on 28th October 2011 at the Roker Hotel, Roker Terrace, Sunderland. Our guests are asked to don their wedding gowns, bridesmaid or prom dresses and wedding suits in order to raise money in aid of St Benedict’s Hospice, based in Monkwearmouth Sunderland.

[/FONT][FONT=&quot]St. Benedict's Hospice has been providing palliative care to patients from the Sunderland area since 1984 but it was not until 2009, when my grandmother was cared for at St Benedict’s, that I really took notice of the care and facilities they provided here. From what was the worst time of my family’s life the care that was given by every single member of staff was overwhelming. Not only do they care for the immediate patient they care for the whole family. They laughed with us and cried with us but made us feel like we were the only people on the planet that mattered. This is why I now want to give something back and raise vital funds for the hospice, to give other families the same fantastic care that ours received. Every single penny of profit goes directly to St Benedict's Hospice.[/FONT]
