new combi needed? what do you think?

İ left my home in the uk last July and didnt turn my combi off. during the interceeding time it began to make nasty noises and was turned off by my BİL. i am returning home next month and want to know what action to take?-i had this may be the death nell for my boiler!!

As you've provided no details whatsoever get it serviced by a RGI and he'll advise you accordingly

i have it serviced regularly but i am wondering what affect this 'turning off' may have had on its function?

Yes get it checked by an engineer - nasty noises?? Could be anything.

by what i undestand it has 'decompressed' thus leaving it dry since about december. i read someone say this can be terminal!

It sounds like its lost its pressure. Its not terminal and is often a matter of re pressurising but if its been making noises then best get it checked properly as anyone on here would be just guessing as to its cause.
