Upgrade HDD in SKY+HD Box

Hi all,

Contacted Sky today and they want £150 to upgrade to a 1tb sky+hd box. I flat out refuse to pay for that.

So it is possible to upgrade to 1tb or 2tb in the samsung skyhd box.

if so how hard is it?

I've upgraded a Hard drive in a Thomson HD box and it was quite easy, not done a Samsung but I found these guides that might help:

If you want to copy over your existing saved programmes to the new blank drive it gets a bit more complicated, this site and software helped me:

The new box is quite difficult to open and get at the insides, but there are instructions available.
However it would invalidate the warranty.
However, if you do stuff the box, you can always pick up a replacement one cheap.
