Choosing a dog bed

What dog beds would you reccomend or are they all the same?

I was thinking of getting bertz.co.uk/product/PREMIUM-RECTANGULAR-SOFTEE-DOG-BED-MEDIUM-FAUX-LEATHER-BROWN.html

Or bertz.co.uk/product/Superstripe-Dog-or-Cat-Bed.html

Its mainly for the dogs comfort not to fussed about the stain resistant stuff

Thanks

What sort of dog have you got, how old? Makes quite a lot of difference - my Shepherd chewed up every bed I got him for the first 16 months!

I have one of the big plastic beds with a single quilt in for my dog, he loves it :)
Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j
  • TBH a single duvet in a cover, folded in 1/2 is just as good - you can stick them in the washing machine (know many pet beds say you can do this, but they rarely come out looking as good as when they went in!) and they dry in no time (very handy in winter).

As Mr B is showing here, they're obviously very comfy!

I have a English cocker spaniel, shes got her own space where she likes to sleeps so i thought id get her something comfy for her to sleep in but unsure what to go for :S

P.S I love your dog looks so cute! :D and the bed you have made looks cozy aswell!
  • Depends on a couple of things ...

    • does she like to sleep curled up in a ball, or does she sometimes like to stretch right out?

Mr B has a x-large plastic bed that I used to put the duvet in and he curled up, stuck a leg out here & there etc but now he's getting older he used to get really stiff doing this (hence why he's now just got the duvet).

    • is she a "chewer"?
    • does she dig her bed up (like someone I know, but won't mention!)

I have eventually settled on this for mine - he will also stretch out on the floor, but did try all sorts of fancy beds for him. When I came home to a room full of green stuffing from a really expensive bed I started buying the cheapest for him.... of course he's never chewed that one!
