Hi-
Phoned breakdown service number provided by Higos(formerly Sharp Insurance) last night from home and recovery vehicle arrived fairly promptly! Guy offered recovery to garage there and then but i declined as i said i would phone them back and arrange for daylight recovery for safety as garage is on busy street! Phoned number again and they said they couldn't tow till it was booked in to garage? No probs i said. Booked into garage this morning and phone them again for recovery to garage ! We can't do that they say as you are not covered for homestart. I am i said as it is on the keyfacts i printed off when i bought policy. Here's where i kick myself-when i bought policy all i printed off was keyfacts summary as Sharp said they would email me. They didn't!!! I phoned them twice about this and then they said they would post them- i received them and filed them (I know! I know!) It was only this morning on phone to guy that i realised that policy does not have homestart. I know what i read at the time and an positive that £44.99 was for full cover (incl homestart & European). Problem is Sharps website now just links to Higos Insurance phone number when you select breakdown cover. I KNOW i bought full cover and they say i didn't and i don't think i can prove it. Anyone else broken down at home with old Sharp insurance policy and encountered any similar problems??:o
