Re: buying a table? The online operation has been sold to HRG and continues to trade as normal. The three prime London stores are the same. Therefore order online or buy from one of these stores. The rest of the stores are having fire sale although not much discounting at the moment-buy from them by all means but use a credit card for some consumer protection.0

Thanks for your responses. If I decide to go ahead it will be an online purchase with a credit card. Still a little unsure though!!!0

In the normal course of events, your first port of call should be the retailer, Habitat, but if you get no joy there then the bed should still be under the manufacturer's guarantee so try them too (you may need to provide proof of purchase to the manufacturer).
Edit
You may find the information on <this link> of some help for contacting Habitat.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Consumerist - Habitat mainly sells self-branded furniture and other items. Therefore defaulting to manufacturer is not an option.
Re: Finance. You agreement is not with Habitat but with the company that issued the finance. Even if your debt was to Habitat, it would be sold off during the insolvency process and you would have to continue to pay.0 -

If you have contents insurance you may be able to make a claim, providing the fault with the goods isn't just "fair wear and tear".Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
