Hi,
My Nintendo Wii has had the same error for three months when trying to update and apparently the solution is to temporarily disable your router firewall and then switch it back on once the update is complete.
The router we have is one from talk talk, theres no buttons on other than a power one, so how do you disable it at all as I have no idea!
Any help would be much appreciated!

on your PC.. Start > run > cmd > ipconfig.
it'll give you a list of gibberish and one of these will be the default gateway with some numbers like 192.168.0.1
type that into your internet browser (ie http:\\192.168.0.1) and press enter.
that'll connect you to your router. Somewhere in there it'll have your firewall settings where you can disable it.0 -
Thank you, I've managed that part now!
Now it's asking for a username and password. The password I take it is just the router password, but how do I find out the username?0 -
Try 'admin'604!0

if it's not 'admin'. Just google the model of the router, if you haven't changed it then you'll be able to find the default username and password in a few minutes.0

I'm with Talktalk and your user name should be your home phone number i.e. 01234567890@talktalk.net, your password should be on the router (I think!!). Trying to remember when I set my brothers up!!0

router login & password is often printed on the bottom of the router unless you've changed it?0
