Hi, we have sent, by recorded delivery on 18th May, a request for copies of orginal paperwork, which was ignored, and subsequently, on the 8th June, we sent the Ombudsman questionnaire, again by recorded delivery.
Just checked post office tracker, and it says "this is being processed through our netowrk for delivery"(which is also what it says for the letter we sent on the 18th May!)
3 WEEKS, later????
This implies to us that CF won't sign for it.....
What do you think? And is there anything else we can do, other than lose patience with them and go straught to Ombudsman now?
Many thanks
:D

Give Citi a ring and tell them you have sent 2 recorded delivery letters and what it is showing at the royal mail and why they wont sign for these.

See if they will give you the info you need over the phone.

Did you enclose the £1 fee for your request?, as this is what they charge.

I would give Citi a try first as the FOS have such a backlog they you could wait well over a year and you only want paperwork, it seems such a long wait just for info..

    most likely its been delivered
what should happen with large deliveries
the delivering postie should scan every signature item on a PDA in front of the customer
then the customer signs for those items
in ye olde days it was done with print outs but this should be a defunct practice now
my old office did it fro all its bulk deliveries(this could be over 200 signature items fro a single delivery point) so theres o reason for other offices not to do it
    so complain,complain and complain

I made a complaint to Royal Mail the other regarding a "Special Delivery" item that was showing as still progressing through the network 2 days later. I was told with large deliveries, they leave the letters there and come back later to collect the signatures. When I am paying a premium for the service I expect the service rather than leave it for the company to conveniently lose when they feel the need.

thats an office using the old print out system
Im surprised there are offices still doing this
the company wouldn't be saying they hadnt got it
items are still allocated to them and then they sign the bulk sheet that lists all the sig items they have
any discrepancies are relayed via their business manager
however we dropped that system probably a good 2 years ago and had some of the biggest customers in Edinburgh with regard to volumes of sig items
thy should all be using PDAs now given these duties will be covered by vans
what it does do is shunt work to the delivery person but TBH its irrelevant
thats the system RM is bringing in so its a case of get with the programme

    :("sigh"
Today we have recieved the questionnaire back via royal mail with a sticker on the envelope saying " adressee gone away".
A google search brings up the address in Bradford which we used, anyone got any idea of what to do next?
Is there a head office we could send the form to?

This is getting ridiculous now, talk about trying to get out of this!!

    Any (more) advice is welcomed

Citi probably sold the loan through a broker - and it is almost certainly the broker that you need to complain to about any associated PPI.
