Well off we tootled with less than 3 weeks to go  to Argos to get our wedding rings....walked in confidently picked the cheapest ones, and they don't have our size, neither of us, they don't seem to have much in stock! ordering them takes 3 weeks, and the nearest store 20 miles away has 1 of them....
So now steam is coming off the keyboard from googling....
can anyone recommend anywhere?
we have decided on white gold, probably D shape, just a few MM thick, we are really not bothered about them, just to exchange on the day, my OH probaby won't wear and my engagement ring is AMAZING just what I always wanted so it is not exactly something we want to throw money at...
does anyone know any cheap websites? thanks in advance

I couldnt find a single "cheap" 18ct white gold ring to go with my stunning engagement ring either...
I ended up getting mine off ebay and its actually really nice, brand new and under £100 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LADIES-18CT-WHITE-GOLD-LIGHT-D-SHAPE-WEDDING-RING-BAND-/380326287415?pt=UK_JewelleryWatches_WomensJewellery_Rings_SR&var=&hash=item9757f09e24
i even had to send it back because it didnt fit (even though i had done a ring sizer thingy) and had the bigger replacement a few days later with no hassle at all0 -
We used Betts Metals for our rings and were really pleased. If you sign up for an account as a hobbyist you get trade prices. Mine was £160 for a 2.5mm heavyweight flat 18ct white gold band. OH has a palladium 5mm flat which was £140 I think:j:j Got married on 12th November 2011 :j:j0

My oh only wants a ring for the day (it probably wont even last long onhis finger!) so I wont be spending much on one for him (as it will just sit in a box at the back of a drawer), so I plan on getting his from Tesco direct so it may be worth having a look on there if you want just a cheap wedding band that wont be worn very much- I plan on getting him a 9k 5mm yellow gold band and it only £35 on there and then the tesco points will go towards goldsmith vouchers for my ring!!:D0

We got ours from Elma Jewellery on ebay and they arrived the very next day. Super pleased with them and saved a fortune compared to high stree shops.
There seem to be a lot on ebay offering wedding rings and quick delivery so get searching...... and good luck!!Sealed Pot Challenge No. 2860 -

What she said!
Much better value than any high street jeweller.
You pay by the gram at a rate set on the day you place your order. Currently approx £30/g + VAT for 18 carat gold.
Crikey - just checked my account from November 2008 when we paid £19/g + VAT - just shows how much the price of gold has risen!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
There is something weird going on at the Betts website. All the rings I am choosing seem to be less than £20.

I selected the bottom ring, 18carat white, 8mm, size q, gold polished style - price £13.57... I mean thats a great price, but what am I doing wrong! (Not looking for this ring, just trying to see what is wrong with the site!)0 -
Thanks everyone for all the tips.
The cheapest I can find on ebay are £66 each. 9ct white gold, 4mm, in both our sizes.
This seems like a good deal compared to some of the above, it is just with Argos bein £29.99 it is so annoying to know I COULD have got them for that price. Why do they advertise them when you can't so much as stock check...sigh.
I just tried the Betts website and one ring was over £200 - so maybe it has been fixed from when kmmr was looking?Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Would you consider a titanium one for your OH? My DH has one which he chose and loves and was around £30.0

Did you ask if they could trace the other one, too?
It seems you may still end up saving money even if you have to take a bit of a ride one weekend to collect them from a couple of different places...0 -
they told us that the only ring available in a 50 mile radius was one of them. i hate argos!
i did consider titanium originally or even silver for us both but then i heard i need white gold cos of my engagement ring and then i thought they better be matching.....Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016
