I need to poke my nose around a company, I don't necessarily want to alert them to this fact so wondered if someone could explain to me briefly and idiot style how I check out isp, reg site/company owners, company directors etc I'm sure it's really very simple but can't seem to think of anything type into google that might bring up what I'm looking for to help me do it myself.:rotfl:

I tend to work from that and any contact information on the web site you are researching...then google post codes, addresses, names to see what gets thrown up...

Tried that not listed thanks but keep the info coming folks, I used to know of a site where you could check vat registration if anyone could help here, I know they are charging vat but suspect they are not registered.woo wrote:you can also search for a company at the companies house website which will give you information about how long they have been trading etcFour guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
this tells you if the Vat registration number is valid

or here

If you suspect VAT fraud
If you suspect that a firm is avoiding paying VAT, or of charging VAT when they aren’t VAT registered, you can report them in confidence on the Customs Confidential hotline, 0800 595 000, open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Ok tried them all not a jot showing for the company on any of them, it is a new company I am aware of that so it just says their publicity is shlt which I knew anyway, the angle I am really interested in is vat because I'm around 99% positive they aren't passing it on and 1% certain:rotfl:Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0
