Why unbelievable?
Do you think they look good?
Many people don't like the appearance of PV panels ....
Yes, they look fine. As for people 'not liking the appearance' - they're not there for decoration and if they don't like the appearance then they don't have to buy any.
It won't be a problem in the future - the neighbours will be too busy fitting their own panels and panicking about the sky-rocketing price of energy to worry about it.4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control0 -

I've just looked at it on 'Google Maps'. Look for "Butt Hill Road, Prestwich, Bury" and you'll see it on corner of Barnhill Drive. Google 'Streetview' is a year or two out of date so not showing panels but house easily recognisable from press photos. Panels face SE and will be shaded much of day by the tree to South so not an ideal location but I can't see that any other part of their roof would be any better. I presume they'll have done the sums and will have decided that the ROI - even though not the 15% some sites achieve - would justify the expense.
Nothing from the aerial view to suggest that it might be an AONB or conservation area and the house didn't strike me as a prime candidate for 'listing'.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

That is not in dispute.
I was commenting on your post which stated:Unbelievable! Pure spite and jealousy I think
I am merely saying that is not 'unbelievable' as many people do not like them; and councils generally ban them from conservation areas(if visible from road) for the same reasons.they're not there for decoration and if they don't like the appearance then they don't have to buy any.
Presumably it is the neighbours who objected who don't like looking at the 'offending' panels.
The issue is simply that some people don't find the panels objectionable - others do!0 -
I'm having PV panels installed next Tuesday, and am getting an Eltek HE-t 4.4 inverter which on this website mentions it comes with built in web monitoring which sounds perfect.
I asked my installer to confirm and yep, it does come with it but advised I will need a wireless bridge or additional cabling at extra cost.
Does that sound fair? The cost would be £100 plus VAT.
I did presume the inverter wouldn't need anything 'extra' but will happily admit I don't know what I'm talking aboutI already have a wireless router at home so guessed the inverter would be able to use that.
Would really appreciate a bit of help so I can give them the go ahead to add, I guess, a wireless bridge rather than more cabling - or not
Many thanks!16 x Sanyo HIT 240w panels, 3.84kWp, south facing, 30 degree slope in the SW, 4.4 Eltek HE-t inverter installed 27/03/120 -
RoxyK, congrats on going for PV. Hope it all goes well.
Silly question, but have you tried contacting Eltek themselves? Can only find a .com , but it does have an e-mail section under contact us.
