If the company is ABTA/ATOL bonded then you WILL be protected and you WILL receive your goods and services. If not, you will definitely receive your monies back. If paid with a credit card, you have taken out insurance on that so you should be refunded within a few months. If paid with a debit card then you will have to wait slightly longer.
Don't worry! This is one of the reasons ABTA/ATOL is for.

Prior to going into liquidation Hotel Connect sent details of all of their forward bookings to their hotels. Hotel Connect had not been paying Hotels for quite some time, some hotels are holding bookings and are charging clients again as they have not been paid by Hotel Connect. It is best to check with the hotel before rebooking with another supplier as some hotels are threatening to cancel any new bookings that are duplicate bookings as they want to charge for the original bookings.

Yeah i thought they might do that but i havent had the credit through from my card, so i will say if i dont get the money from credit card, i will be paying so much more, so trying to keep costs down etc

a re-cap. have now been refunded by credit card, have also managed to cancel having to pay hotel direct, as price was too expensive & rebooked with travel republic, so win win, just a few grey hairs instead!!
