BT Credit Card

We have a BT phone line and a BT credit card, which we use to pay for
everything, and the full amount is paid off each month, hence no interest.
The card is free and gives discount off your BT phone account, my recent
credit card account was about £300 which gave me £2 off my phone bill.
The maximum discount you can earn is £75 p.a., which I achieved when I
paid for a new kitchen with my card! Hubby then took a card out of his
own so we could pay for a new lounge suite on his card, as mine was
maxed. We received the maximum £150 off our phone bill last year! ;)

You're getting 1% off a bill from your spending...

Boost that to 1.5% or even 5% CASH BACK - money back is better than money off :D

Only trouble is it leaves you tied to BT as phone/internet provider - which is why cashback is better than any discount/voucher scheme.

Indeed, the MBNA Cashback VISA (1.5%) + AMEX Platinum (5%, where accepted) will maximise the cashback potential.

Although £150 a year dicount is respectable, and I commend you for using the cards to your advantages, the saving comes at the disadvantage of having to pay BT for your telephone and / or internet services.

How about you ditch and switch to the MBNA VISA Cashback, an Amex Platinum, AND - switch your line rental to PRIMUS Saver.

The Primus Saver alone should save a good £50 PA or more on top of the extra cashback you can earn :o

Well, the 5% is only for 3 months, and the 1.5% is only available on Amex, which not everybody takes.

Best on Visa is 1.25% at supermarkets and filling stations (0.5% everywhere else). But I can only eat so much food and I don't use a lot of petrol.

1% from Capital One comes with a hefty £30 annual fee.

So 0.66% from BT doesn't come out too bad.
