Properly fitted bra doesn't fit!

Hello.
Yesterday I was fitted at an independent bra shop for a new bra. I chose this shop on recommendation as, being very small chested, I have trouble finding bras to fit.
The bra that they fitted with me felt fine in the shop, however I wore it home and within the hour that it took me to get home the bra had become so uncomfortable that I had to take it off.
It had left deep grooves in the middle of my chest where the underwiring had been digging in causing pain.
I rang the shop to let them know, and to say that I’d be bringing it back to exchange. They said that as I’ve worn it and as far as they’re concerned it fits me they don’t have to do that.
I now have a bra that cost £25 that I can’t wear, do I have any rights?
Thank you!

They may be experts in bra fitting, but they can only go by what you say is comfortable so I am not surprised that they aren't keen to allow you return something which they can presumably not re-sell. Did the fitting service come with any kind of guarantee?

I've taken bras back to Bravissimo before that i've been fitted for and subsequently found really uncomfortable. They've changed them no problems. As you bought from an independant you might not be so successful, did they advise you of a returns policy ?

I'd wear the bra back to the shop and ask nicely if they would just have a little look at it for you. Once they see the deep grooves (I do sympathise with you!) they might just be persuaded to do something about it. After all, they don't want you showing your battle scars to other customers in the shop, do they? (Dare you!)

I think we need to see some pictures, just so we can see how deep those grooves were?

We can then be better placed to advise. :p
