Reclaiming companies

I have 4 PPI's to reclaim for. Should i do it myself or employ a firm to do it for me? Can anyone suggest a good firm who doesn't charge the earth?

Are you able to put a stamp on an envelope or do you want to pay a compamyn around 30-40% plus VAT to put the stamp on it for you?

I personally suggest having a go yourself, its only a matter of completing a reclaim questionnaire as shown on step 3 below.

There is a lot more paperwork and going by many posts on here hassle using claims companies, even banks are suggesting to do this yourself, and of course if your successful you will then get to keep all your refund.

Hope that helps, good luck and ask for further help (all free) if required.

Whether you use a claims company or do-it-yourself, you have to provide the same information.

The bank will handle the complaint in the same way, and make its decision using the same criteria.

The main difference is the claims company will charge you a substantial fee (see above).

And do you want to be liable if, as has happened on a case I was looking at earlier this month, they told porkies?

Much better that you know what is being said in your name - and you can only guarantee that by doing it yourself.

I am now considering doing this myself now, i have a few things i can claim for mainly mis sold insurance.

I have on hold a claim via a company specialising in these things. I say on hold, nearly all the form filling has been done minus a couple of points. This company stands to make way over £3.6k+, i will be lucky to get £2k.
    Is there a way out?

Just realised last week when confronting Lloyds what certain payments were -PPI
How would you go about claiming for credit card usually payed off monthly, therefore no tracking?

Additionally whilst on this specific subject, i work from home now and do long winded stuff where once started cannot break off and come back.
Now i am inundated with these specialist companies phoning several times per day, day in day out, week after week and so on.
I did that telephone block a few times even my own bank cant contact me but these companies have been sold my data.
Is there anything i can do?

We wont mention the shear amount of calls from India.
