Hello all. I was wondering if is possible to pay the rent on Credit Card to my landlord if I does not have a direct debit system.
Does anyone know if is possible to execute the payment on the credit card in this case ?
Thank you in advance.

what has direct debit to do with the situation?
no private individual can accept a credit card as they would lack the appropriate system
it's anyway unlikely that most landlords would accept CC payment as they would probably be charged 3% by the CC company
why can't you pay by standing order ?0 -
They may take paypal or other equivalent, but they will be charged for it, and are likely to pass this cost on to you
Bearing in mind that landlords and their agents do affordability checks and are looking for the rent to be maintained throughout the tenancy, your prospects may not bode well to them as to how you might be able to afford the rent in the future if you are seeking to put the first one on a credit cardSo many glitches, so little time...0 -
Basically I would like to use the credit card to to post-pay payments but seems that most of the time If there is no direct debit I cannot benefit from my credit card. The max amount of money I can get cash is 250 gbp. Maybe, I can take this money cash and put them on the account and trasfer the money to pay part of the rent.
Any other advice is very welcome.
Thank you very much for the answers, Franky0 -

I pay my rent by credit card so i can get my 1p cashback
however, it is a housing association and they issued me with a payment card (allpay) since they do not have the facility to receive payment by BACS. As long as they get their rent i cant see why it matters to them how you pay.
Incidentally, borrowing cash off your credit card isnt a good idea, it will cost you a fortune. I pay my credit card off in full every month so as not to incur charges.debt free...yippee

As gem says, withdrawing cash from your credit card is expensive.
You will be hit with interest as well as cash advance fees.
What the issue with getting a basic bank account?

Ask you landlord if they will accept credit card. If they are a private individual its likely they won't because they will have no means of processing a credit card payment.
My Landlord can take credit card payments because they are a company and not an indivudual. They have aq chip and pin machine to process the payments.
If your landlord cannot take cedit card directly then some credit cards allow money transfers, this is like a balance transfer into your bank account and usually benefits from better interest rates than simply drawing cash from your credit card via an ATM.0
